Founder/C.E.O. Welcome
“We all know that one school size or model does not fit all students.”
Many of our children in Central Texas will not reach their full intellectual and human potential in our large traditional public schools. Some students attending in these traditional schools do not feel known or feel a sense of belonging. Many of their classmates are not serious about their studies. For many boys, in particular, while a large school may offer a great sports program, the culture of the school may not be conducive to cultivating an atmosphere that produces our ideal, which is "Citizen, Scholar, and Athlete." Private school choices in the area are limited and, for some families, unaffordable.
In 1995, I incorporated Orenda Education, the sponsoring entity for our Orenda public charter school campuses. My vision was to offer another public school choice for those students in Central Texas who wanted a more personalized and unique school experience that may be a better fit for their academic, social, physical and moral development.
Each or our school campuses offers a unique educational niche in the community. Whether you are a potential student family member, or an interested community citizen that cares about quality education, I encourage you to visit one of our campuses to find out what makes it unique and successful.
Sincerely,
Richard Norman Rickey
