Elizabeth (Beth) Kelly

Beth Kelly joined Orenda Education in 2014 at Gateway College Preparatory School, where she taught technology applications, AP Computer Science Principles, and yearbook, and coached robotics and academic UIL teams. During her time there, she built and expanded the campus computer science and robotics pathway, growing student participation and advancing teams to regional and state-level competition. She worked to make computer science accessible to all students, helping them see how technology connects to nearly every field and building confidence in their ability to solve complex problems.

In 2025, Beth designed and launched a new computer science program at the Bartlett Unit through Windham School District, serving adult learners preparing for workforce reentry. That same year, she received the Change Maker Award from WeTeach_CS in recognition of her leadership and impact in expanding access to computer science education. Later in 2025, she transitioned into the role of Principal at Gateway Tech High School.

As principal, Beth leads a small alternative high school serving nontraditional and credit-recovery students. She oversees campus operations, individualized graduation planning, instructional quality, compliance, and student support systems. Her leadership is grounded in clear systems, strong relationships, and steady expectations that create a structured and supportive environment where students can finish well and move forward with confidence.

Prior to entering education, Beth worked in staffing and operations leadership, including roles at Dell Computer and in workforce placement. That experience continues to shape her practical, organized approach to leading complex systems.

Beth earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Houston and her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Texas at Arlington. She also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Data Science and Business Analytics from The University of Texas at Austin.

Beth is the proud mother of three sons — Joseph, Jacob, and Jeremy — who are pursuing their own academic paths at Utah State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Texas A&M University, and the University of Notre Dame. She lives in Georgetown with her three dogs and enjoys hiking and attending Texas A&M football games.
